Our mission is to recognize and reward outstanding academic achievement, leadership potential, and a strong commitment to community service. We are passionate about supporting talented individuals who embody the spirit of our Cuban community.
Mas Family Scholarships will accept applications from October 15, 2025, until January 31, 2026. We invite all eligible candidates to apply for this prestigious opportunity, which offers mentorship and financial support to help achieve their higher education goals.
Eligibility Criteria

       Cuban DescentStudents can apply for a Mas Family Scholarship if they were born in Cuba or are of direct Cuban descent.

       Academic ExcellenceHave a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.

       Leadership and Community ServiceApplicants should demonstrate leadership potential and involvement in community service activities.

       RecommendationsThree completed recommendation forms are required for committee review. 
- 
      
      
      
        
  
       Financial NeedWhile not the primary consideration, financial need will be considered during the selection process.

       EnrollmentMust be enrolled full-time in an accredited college or university for the upcoming academic year while pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree.

        Personal Statement (max 500 words)Outline your academic accomplishments, leadership experiences, and community engagement. Explain how receiving the Mas Family Scholarship will support your educational and professional aspirations.

        ResumeHighlight student, professional, or community organizations in which you have been active, hobbies, academic honors, employment history, and foreign languages that you can read, write, or speak.

        Academic InformationProvide your most recent transcript and test scores.

    Additional Information
Scholarship Award
Scholarship awards are determined based on financial need, taking into consideration the economic situation and contribution capacity of both the applicant and their family. Mas Family Scholars can renew their scholarship until the completion of their intended degree, for a maximum of four years of college.
Continued Eligibility
Mas Family Scholars must enroll full-time in an accredited college or university while pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree. Scholars are required to maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
