Jorge Mas

Jorge Mas is a business leader, entrepreneur and philanthropist.

Jorge Mas is the Managing Owner of Inter Miami CF, Miami’s Major League Soccer team. Along with co-owners Jose Mas and David Beckham, they are currently planning the construction of a privately funded 27,000 seat stadium and auxiliary development of an entertainment district and mixed-use area which will be known as Miami Freedom Park.  

In May of 2022, Jorge Mas and a group of investors purchased a majority stake in the second-division Spanish soccer club, Real Zaragoza. Mr. Mas is President of Real Zaragoza and they are working towards returning Real Zaragoza to the first division of La Liga where the team has competed historically.

A firm believer that sports brings communities together, Jorge proudly serves on the Board of the FIFA Foundation. The FIFA Foundation utilizes the positive power of football to change lives.

Mr. Mas is Chairman of the Board and Co-Founder of MasTec, Inc., (NYSE:MTZ) a Miami based Fortune 500 network infrastructure contractor. He has been involved in all phases of the firm’s development since its creation in 1994. Mr. Mas began his career at Church and Tower, MasTec’s predecessor, in 1984. Today, MasTec has reevenues in excess of $11.5 billion employing over 35,000 individuals in six distinct business lines: Power Generation and Industrial Renewable, Natural Gas and Oil Pipeline, Electrical Transmission, Wireless, Wireline Utility Services and Technology Deployment.

Mr. Mas founded Neff Corporation (NYSE:NFF) a provider of rental construction and utility equipment. He led and oversaw this business’ growth from a single store in South Florida to over 80 branches nationwide, becoming one of the 5 largest firms of its type in the United States until its sale in 2005.

Mr. Mas is the Chairman of the Board of the Cuban American National Foundation (CANF) founded in 1981 and dedicated to the promotion of a free and democratic Cuba.

Jorge Mas has served on numerous corporate boards assisting in strategic growth strategies and corporate governance.  Currently he is a member of the Board of Directors of Bessemer Trust.  He serves as director of the Mas Family Foundation, a philanthropic organization which supports charitable initiatives. Mr. Mas is a Director of the Mas Family Scholarships, the nation’s leading scholarship fund that aids students of Cuban descent earn a higher education. Mas Family Scholarship recipients have attended the most prestigious universities and continuously excel in their respective fields.

Mr. Mas has been recognized as one of the 100 most influential Hispanics in the United States by Latino Leaders Magazine. He is the past recipient of the Simon Wiesenthal Center National Community Service Award for his contribution toward freedom and received the Bravura Award for his defense of free speech.

Mr. Mas has appeared on national television programs, including One on One with John McLaughlin, The McNeil-Lehrer report, Sixty Minutes, Larry King Live, Fox’s Equal Time, Frontline, Dateline NBC and the Early Morning Show with Bryant Gumble, among others. He has testified before the United States Senate Foreign Relations Subcommittee on Western Hemisphere and lectured at university conferences and has written articles appearing in the Washington Post and the Miami Herald among other national publications.

Jorge Mas is a graduate of the University of Miami. He resides in Miami with his wife Aleyda, adult children and grandchild.
