Jorge Mas
BUSINESS LEADER, ENTREPRENEUR, AND PHILANTHROPIST
Jorge Mas is the Managing Owner of Inter Miami CF, Miami’s Major League Soccer team. Under his visionary leadership, the Club has become an MLS Cup Champion and the most valuable club in Major League Soccer. Mas, along with co-owners Jose Mas and David Beckham, has attracted the best fútbol players in the world, including Leo Messi, Rodrigo de Paul, and Luis Suárez. In 2026, Inter Miami began a new chapter at its new home, Nu Stadium, in the world-class sports, retail, and entertainment district, Miami Freedom Park.
In May 2022, Mr. Mas and a group of investors purchased a majority stake in Spanish second-division club Real Zaragoza. As President, he is working with the group to return the historic club to La Liga, Spain’s first division.
A firm believer that sports bring communities together, Jorge proudly serves on the Board of the FIFA Foundation, which uses the positive power of football to change lives.
Mr. Mas is Chairman of the Board and Co-Founder of MasTec, Inc. (NYSE: MTZ), a Miami-based Fortune 500 network infrastructure contractor. He has been involved in the company’s development since its creation in 1994, following his start at its predecessor, Church and Tower, in 1984. Today, MasTec generates more than $12 billion in revenue and employs more than 35,000 people across six business lines: Power Generation and Industrial Renewable, Natural Gas and Oil Pipeline, Electrical Transmission, Wireless, Wireline Utility Services, and Technology Deployment.
Mr. Mas also founded Neff Corporation (NYSE: NFF), a leading provider of construction and utility equipment rentals. He led and oversaw its growth from a single store in South Florida to over 80 branches nationwide, becoming one of the five largest firms of its type in the United States until its sale in 2005.
Committed to advancing a free and democratic Cuba, Mr. Mas serves as Chairman of the Board of the Cuban American National Foundation (CANF), founded in 1981 to promote a free, democratic, and prosperous Cuba.
Mr. Mas has served on numerous corporate boards, contributing to strategic growth and corporate governance. He is currently on the Board of Directors of Bessemer Trust. He serves as director of the Mas Family Foundation, a philanthropic organization that supports charitable initiatives. Mr. Mas is a Director of the Mas Family Scholarships, the nation’s leading scholarship fund supporting students of Cuban descent in pursuing higher education. Mas Family Scholarship recipients have attended many of the nation’s most prestigious universities and gone on to excel as leaders in their respective fields.
Mr. Mas has been recognized for his leadership, civic engagement, and commitment to freedom. He was named one of the 100 Most Influential Hispanics in the United States by Latino Leaders Magazine and has received the Simon Wiesenthal Center National Community Service Award for his contributions to the cause of freedom and the Bravura Award for his defense of free speech.
Mr. Mas has appeared on numerous national television programs, including One on One with John McLaughlin, The McNeil-Lehrer Report, 60 Minutes, Larry King Live, Fox’s Equal Time, Frontline, Dateline NBC, and The Early Morning Show with Bryant Gumbel. He has testified before the United States Senate Foreign Relations Subcommittee on the Western Hemisphere, lectured at university conferences, and written for The Washington Post, The Miami Herald, and other national publications.
A graduate of the University of Miami, Jorge Mas resides in Miami with his wife, Aleyda, their adult children, and grandchild.
